The Roman German States

Location

Roman-Germans were warriors that lived beyond the boundaries of the Roman Empire.
 

Political characteristics

Their society was based on family clan and primitive characteristics, and other barbarians started to invade and finally they penetrated the Roman Empire. These kingdoms had little or none  effective power and the political instability reigned.


Economic characteristics

The economy was based on agriculture. Commerce was not very developed by them, because it was concentrated on Byzantium.


Social characteristics

Over the Roman territories, Latin and Barbarian languages mixed creating the origin for Spanish, French, Italian, Rumanian among
others. Over the Germanic territories, Latin and Barbarian languages mixed creating the origin for English, German and others.


Cultural characteristics

Laws also combined the Roman written law with the Germanic costumes. Little by little the Germanic States transformed their beliefs in favor of the Catholic religion. The most important artistic legacy was the creation of jewelry with precious stones and gold.
